Official Rules list for Jailbreak
Owners welcome to make necessary adjustments, if seen fit.

These are the rules for the jailbreak server. I'd suggest putting them in the motd or loading screen so staff can refer people to them without having to use this page; this is just here as the 'main' core for rules so to speak.

Note that this is different to rebelling: if you disobey a guard's order as prisoner, you will just be shot by the guards for disobeying. These rules state what is physically not permitted, at all, on the server, and will be punished with slays, kicks, bans, mutes, gags, et cetera.

Prisoner Rules
1 | Spam: spamming on mic or chat may result in a gag or mute. If it's trying to cause a riot, and isn't annoying other prisoners, it may be acceptable.

2 | Ghosting: once dead, don't tell living prisoners where the guards are, where to go, et cetera (or tell guards where prisoners are).

3 | AFK: if you are constantly afk, you'll probably just be kicked and you can rejoin when you return. It's wasting slots.

4 | Speak English: you need to understand orders. If you can't understand us, you may as well just leave. We aren't translating, you'll just be killed.

Guard Rules
1 | Spam: same as prisoner. Though wardens and guards have an excuse to speak alot, don't actively spam. Also, kids with high voices are, regretfully, not going to be kicked or gagged purely because of their voices. Just deal with it, kay.

2 | Ghosting: once dead, don't tell fellow guards where the last prisoners are and, if they're unaware, who killed you.

3 | AFK: afk guards are to be kicked immediately. They're a liability.

4 | Speak English: if prisoners can't understand your orders, you're a useless warden and should just leave.

5 | Wardens: your orders are always valid and, contradictory to popular belief, do not have to be given before the cells open. It's a good idea to do this otherwise they run rampant and you lose control, but your orders are still valid, and you can change them whenever you please. Secondly, wardens do not require mics to warden: again, people may not listen, though it is acceptable to use chat for orders.

Wardens or guards who are ineffective and useless must, if most of the server agrees on it, switch to prisoner. Staff will not hesitate to constantly slay and/or kick those who do not comply.

6 | Favouritism: wardens cannot treat certain prisoners better than others purely because of out-of-game aspects (i.e. real life friends / steam friends / random selection), this is biased and will be punished. However, if certain prisoners rebel, and certain ones are always loyal, they've earnt that and can be treated better if the warden decides to.

7 | Freedays: an exception to the previous guard rules - wardens cannot revoke freedays. They can set their own kos zones, or obey the map's defaults, and so on, but once it's a freeday, it's a freeday.

8 | KOS camping: guards are allowed to guard KOS areas (it's in the name, dammit, why wouldn't they guard?). The only exception is the armoury - they cannot camp directly inside it, however can guard entrances from the outside. On hide and seek days, guards are allowed to stay in the armoury (as many as they deem necessary) while others go to hunt.

9 | Twat: don't be a twat. Just don't. You are welcome to be harsh, severe, et ctera, but don't for example just lock up someone because they have a screechy voice, or actively follow just one person on a hide and seek day. Not cool :c

Freeshooting and RDM
- As above, what classes as freeshooting/RDM will be determined by the staff dealing with it. Guards are typically allowed to fire warning shots and such, and if the prisoner is on low health and happens to die then, accidents happen, it's unfortunate. Basically, if you don't want these to happen to you as prisoner, then it's a good idea to keep on the good side of the warden and not stretch the rules. Else you're just asking for it.

Staff Rules
1 | Everything above: spam, ghosting, et cetera. We don't have any more 'power' in the prison than any of the regular users.

2 | Abuse: command abuse, whether it is constantly setting people on fire or permabanning someone for freeshooting, will be dealt with seriously and swiftly. If you are a victim of this please contact Viz, GoodSir, Blakbewwy or Yuu and we'll deal with it ASAP.

3 | Bullying: staff have no right to pick on specific people. Again, tell us if you are being constantly slapped, set on fire, or anything, while nobody else is.
